[FEATURE] List Directories in a Vault

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I, and imagine others, tend to group similar notes into folders for better organization. For large vaults I tend not to remember the correct directory or the naming conventions I have.

Describe the solution you'd like

Having a tool for the agent to list the directories or subdirectories would help myself and the agent organize the notes better.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I did try to have the agent use the search tool to list the directory, but it kept failing.

Have you tried the official filesystem server? I am having success using the core MCP file system server with web searches. I can create an obsidian-llms.md file that instructs Claude Desktop on how to use Obisidian and was able to get it to list the directories in my vault. I can add where my vault is to a Claude Project's custom instructions.

I realize we might be using different MCP hosts/clients, but I hope this helps.
