Active Table removes/auto moves up empty columns

Hello, I am working on the import file function in active table and am facing an issue where if my column is empty, the next column with values gets pushed up in its place. The earlier versions did not have this problem, although it had the problem of splitting values where there is comma. To solve that issue, I upgraded my active table to version 1.1.4 but now it seems that empty columns are not supported? Any advice or help is appreciated, thanks!
