Describe the bug

Post run steps result in an jq error, as seen below, this is only an issue in 13.6.1

Run # Post output.
jq: error (at <stdin>:1): string ("***...) and null (null) cannot have their containment checked
Error: Process completed with exit code 5.

To Reproduce

1. Go to '…'
2. Click on '…'
3. Scroll down to '…'
4. Observe error

Can only assume its releated to this PR #488 given the changes between 13.6.0 and 13.6.1

Oh, this is weird -- the PR was merged after passing (albeit basic) CI tests. However, I have no doubt that the issue you're observing is directly related to #488.

Could you share more info about your workflow, such as:

• Are you running in matrix strategy?
• Have you specifically set job name: field?
• Are you using GitHub runners or self-hosted?

I believe that snippet is the TF-via-PR step itself. Do you happen to have name: field set for the job itself (usually next to the runs-on: field)?

Tested, like before plan ran successfully but getting the same error

Ah shoot, I thought it'd be job-name-related, but that doesn't seem to be it.

Could you share an example or two of the matrix names being used, as shown in the screenshot below. 'course, feel free to obfuscate or replace any sensitive data.

With this, I'm trying to get an idea of special characters involved, if any, and whether the names are long enough to be truncated with ....

its being truncated but its a folder directory
tf (folder/path/to/files)

Ohkay, I believe they're truncated after 100 characters. Could you select a few jobs, copy/paste their name, and compare whether any are identical within those first 100 characters?

The paths are less than 100 characters long they all begin with the same path suffix but end differently
I've obfuscated some of the path but it has the same number of characters
