JSON Schema questions regarding OAS 3.1

Since the release of OAS 3.1, many of us involved with JSON Schema (spec authors & editors, implementation and other tooling authors, etc.) have had some questions that we've been asking each other as we try to figure out the specific JSON Schema requirements present in this document.

I've outlined the most impactful of these (and reduced duplication) in a gist sourced from our Slack workspace.

It would be good to have these questions addressed, either here or at an upcoming scheduled meeting.

@gregsdennis it would be better to have individual issues for individual concerns - a lot of the discriminator stuff I think is filed elsewhere. There are also some PRs for it and I have nudged folks in the last few days to help get those resolved.
