Statement syntax

Jordan Leppert edited this page Jan 9, 2025 · 3 revisions

By default, new lines terminate statements, unless there's an open inner expression, an open function parameter list, or an operator is expecting another operand.

Brackets can be used to create nested expressions, to any depth.

Examples:

1 + 2
1 +
2
1 + (2
* 3)
round(1.234,
2)
2 * (3 +
(4 / 5) )

Any amount of whitespace (spaces or tabs) are allowed in the statements.

Comments

Comments start with a #, anything after a # is treated as a comment until the end of the line.

Examples:

# A comment here
1 + # another here
2 # and here
