This repository contains the open-source hardware design files for the HighBoy project, specifically Revision 2.2 (REV 2.2). This revision represents the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) board that was successfully prototyped, assembled, and validated. It is fully functional and serves as proof that the project is legitimate and not a scam. However,
After the upcoming Kickstarter campaign, several significant improvements will be implemented in future revisions, including:
- Dual-MCU architecture
- Additional peripheral components
- Optimizations for industrial-scale manufacturing
- Further refinements to power managements, layout, and cost
The repository includes:
-
Main Board Design Files:
-
NFC Module Design Files:
To interactively view and explore the full PCB layout, routing, and components, open the provided EasyEDA JSON files directly in the EasyEDA online editor.
The MVP board features the following main components:
- Microcontroller: ESP32-S3 (dual-core Xtensa LX7, with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth)
- Sub-GHz Transceiver: CC1101 (for long-range communication)
- NFC Controller: PN7150 (full NFC forum-compliant reader/writer)
- Power: 2500 mAh single-cell Li-Po battery with protection and charging circuit
- Connectivity: USB-C with full OTG support
- Additional peripherals: TFT display interface, RGB LEDs, and various sensors
All hardware design files (schematics, PCB layouts, and associated documentation) are released under an open-source hardware license (details in LICENSE file). You are free to study, modify, manufacture, and distribute derivative works, provided you follow the terms of the license.
This repository demonstrates our commitment to transparency and open-source hardware. Thank you for your interest in the HighBoy project!
