CODE will be working with UNSD to facilitate this event. The outputs from the conference will inform upcoming work with CODE’s SDG NRP initiative. The current dates for the event are January 22 - 24, 2018.

Recent NRP developments (UK & US)
- US is working on a big push to update functionality of the US NRP. Phil and Jenn will share updates.
- UK has live functionality, including hierarchical filtering to do disaggregations. Still working on how to block access when the data does not exist, and also working on accessibility standards.
- Ann notes that UK accessibility standards are different from US standards but asks whether the US having similar issues/discussions about color contrast and the Global Goals? Jenn notes that this has not come up in the US. But she will look into this again and share any information with Ann and the UK team.
Connecting with Esri
- Ann: Esri has a humanitarian arm of their business. UK team will be having conversations with Esri over the next few weeks and will share updates.
- Larry and Angela have previously attended meetings with Esri. Stephanie also has information for a contact at Esri and would be happy to connect with Jenn and/or CODE
Connecting with OECD.stat
- Ann: This is another avenue developing countries might take. We should understand what that platform offers. Ann has a contact (Simon Scott) who has participated in the steering group
- Jenn: OECD has two efforts related to reporting platforms. One is related to SDMX. The more recent development is looking at how platforms could be developed to receive other kinds of information from countries. Previously, their work was at the notional/conceptual level. OECD participated in US’ Data Flow Project.
Connecting with AfDB
- Laura has contacts at AfDB, including policy and main technical platform, and can follow up to find out more
- Larry: We may want to have a discussion also with GPSDD also about their Africa strategy and understand what is the role of regional organizations (AFDB, UNECA, etc) versus country-outreach.
Sub-national next steps
- Laura: Follow up with another meeting, incl. Stephanie, Greg, Angela and Kali who are interested in following up.
