Editor doesn't work in some browsers

I think there is a nasty bug that makes it impossible to use this tool in certain browsers. I've tested it in Firefox, Chrome, Edge, and Brave. It only works in Chrome and Edge. Even in Chrome and Edge, I need to first refresh the page after navigating to /bitmap before the editor becomes visible. This is what it looks like in Firefox and Brave.

And there is an error in the browser console which I think has something to do with the above error.

Thanks for reporting that bug! I'm not sure how I missed it earlier when I was testing the local storage implementation, but I was able to replicate the issues you shared and found the problematic parts of the initialization code. I think it should be fixed now, with better error handling to reset to default settings if something is invalid in local storage.

Let me know if you experience any other issues with this or anything else.

I will be creating a pull request to update this in the nand2tetris web ide, but until it is updated there, you can download the JackBitmapEditor.html file from this repository and use it.
