How to stop the proceess running with ~/lightning$ rm -rf ~/.lightning/; lightningd/lightningd & sleep 1; [1] 11337

I was having trouble in connecting with lightningd server with the following command using lightningd/lightningd --network=testnet --log-level=debug

So I tried running with following command and it started the process but don't know how the process will stop:

Can someone please help in telling what exactly is happening and how to stop the process!

I am trying to make a transaction. But the process is not giving me time to write the commands .As the process is continuously happening within few seconds again and again.

@sid-01: This is probably offtopic for the issue tracker. Asking on IRC or Stackoverflow or something might be better next time.

What's happening here is that you started the command in the background with &, where it's continuing to run and produce output. You can attach to it with fg and then issue Ctrl+C to interrupt the process, as I demonstrate below by sending sleep to the background, then bringing it back to the foreground and sending Ctrl+C to stop the command:

$ sleep 60 &
[1] 9325
$ fg
sleep 60
^C
$

You can also kill commands with e.g. pkill, whether your terminal is attached to your command or not:

$ sleep 60 &
[1] 9350
$ pkill sleep
[1]+  Terminated              sleep 60
$
