[regression] The new runtime doesn't run on systems using stable versions of AppImageLauncher

Krita project has recently tried to switch to the new runtime, to resolve the libfuse2/libfuse3 issue, but it seems like the new runtime breaks running AppImages on systems with stable versions of AppImageLauncher installed:

Can we fix it somehow? We don't really want to revert to the older version of the runtime (since it seems to be deprecated).

Most likely it needs to be fixed in AppImageLauncher.

It is fixed in the alpha releases. Just use them for now. The terms "stable", "beta", "alpha" etc. are just names. Trust me when I tell you that the latest alpha is good for daily use at this point.

The problem is that the user uses the AppImageLauncher package from the distribution (Arch Linux), and there is no AppImage version of non-lite AppImageLauncher package. This basically breaks the whole idea of AppImage packages running on older distributions.

Well, the are not "just the names". The distributions use these words to decide whether the package can be added to the distribution or not.

Btw, that is also a problem of type2-runtime repo as well. We have to include this runtime into our deps build system, and it doesn't have proper versioning, so it is not easy to understand if the current state of type2-runtime/main is safe to include into release builds.
