Support for ARM-based Synology NAS devices

The Synology NAS instructions for copyparty depend on Docker/Container Manager, which are not available on ARM based Synology models like the DS1817 with DMS 7.x.

It is possible to install Python3 on those devices, though.

I wonder, if copyparty could be executed directly like so:

ssh admin@<NAS-IP>
/volume1/media1/copyparty-sfx.py

And if yes, how could this be automized to run on NAS boot?

that should be possible yes -- do you have access to the Task Scheduler? Maybe you could have it autostart in there somehow?

I have no Task Scheduler app in the Package Manager, but I could try to put a script under

/usr/local/etc/rc.d/

I will try this over the weekend and if I get it working, I will happily share my experience in the documentation...

Task Scheduler is found in the bottom-right of the Control Panel. You can create scripts there that run on boot/shutdown.
