the symbol "instr" clashes with curses library that also has this symbol

Well, do you need the curses library to compile the FT2 clone? I'm not sure if I want to change symbol names just because a library decided to use a name that very well is likely to be used in the main code. That's a principle to me.

I am also not sure why curses was being pulled in I think the prebuilt SDL framework had some addon that used it but I can now build SDL from source and it is okay
