Saw the new version has support for ty but i cant figure out what the simplest steps are for setting up zed with all the astral toolchain (ruff and ty). Do i need to install extensions or not?

you just need to install ruff and ty then in zed install their extensions and add them under language_servers then zed autodetects the rest

When I search for ruff in the extensions search bar, I get only Sqruff back.

ruff and ty are already integrated into zed, you do not need to install extensions.
