How to cancel an edit prediction?

Hello,
I've had this issue for a while, where an edit prediction appears, often to remove whitespace, but really what I want to do is enter a literal tab, and I can't. I felt like this must be a mis-configuration on my part, but for the life of me I cannot find a keybind to just cancel the edit prediction. So I 'd like to be able to cancel prediction -> hit tab. My only recourse when this happens now is to hit space N times to make an indent. Here is an example:

Shouldn't there be a keybind for reject instead of just accept? I use vim mode.
