Include tools for interacting with active language servers

Sometimes I see the agent panel searching for references to identifiers with the grep tool. This can sometimes result in the context growing very quickly for generic identifiers.

I'm surprised to see that the agent doesn't yet have any way of interacting with the active LSP for things like finding references, or go-to-definition. I know I can kind get this with mcp-language-server, but it's clunky to set it up once per project, and this feels like something Zed can do smoothly.

Is there a reason this is more difficult to do than it sounds?

I'm also surprised that there aren't any tools for the agent to take advantage of the available LSPs. As you said it has to rely on regex to do stuff like finding references. The existing LSP MCP servers out there are basically unusable.

I suspect it's partly because the LSP interface is not very suitable for the models out of the box. Last I checked https://github.com/oraios/serena seemed to be the most mature project attempting to bridge this.

But yeah... I would think that at least automatically expanding the type definitions of the parameter symbols of the "inline-edit-assisted" function would make sense. These are not really grep-able either when the types come from a library.
