Can not resize Ghostty window with the mouse when picom is running

I encountered a problem with ghostty terminal ( https://ghostty.org/ ). I wasn't able to resize the terminal window with the mouse. ( ghostty-org/ghostty#5076 )
In the end, I was able to debug the problem down to the point that if picom (or compton) is running then this problem arises.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? This there a solution, beside not running picom :-) ?
