Make key column names consistent across metrics

Usually key column names are just the name of the key. But
if the name is too long, we suffix it we a id. Before this
suffixed name was defined on a per-metric basis, but that
is confusing for users that already have to deal with weird
suffixes. Instead, define these names globally across metrics.
