Allow to add/define extended commit description besides commit message

It would be great to include some additional context or link e.g. back to the source workflow run to have logs at hand that created the commit.

Logs of GitHub Actions runs are only available for a few months (3 months I think), so having a link to a specific workflow run (like this one) in the commit itself isn't really helpful.

You are however free to build such messages. The Action supports multiline commit descriptions (docs).
You would however have to built the URL to the current workflow run yourself.

GH Actions logs are not helpful for the purpose of a history after a longer while, I do agree.
However, they are very handy to review, check and better understand recent pushes of your action. That's why I did ask about the extended commit description to put a reference back to the commit origin/creator (= Actions run).
I do not want to have it as part of the commit message (title) to keep the history more clean.
