espeak on local kiwix

How do I configure tts-voice on a debian box to make kwix speak through espeak...
espeak has lots of voices and is a cli used in Linux
It can be used on Terminal to espeak (and record phrases; read ebooks; create audio books as well)
Okular (a pdf viewer from KDE/Plasma linux Desktop, e.g, can use espeak to read pdf files aloud)

I see kwix trying to find a voice engine when I click "read document", but it does not asks me to locate espeak which is in my PATH
