What a year of Milestones! 🏁 - Copilot community check-in

Reflecting 🔙 on the transformative strides made in 2023, AI and GitHub Copilot reached new milestones, propelling ⏩ us to the forefront of AI-powered developer platforms. Announced at GitHub Universe, Copilot has evolved into a cornerstone leading the AI-driven development.

At the heart ❤️ of this evolution lies GitHub Copilot Chat, powering natural language into a universal programming language. We recently made it generally available for both Visual Studio Code and Visual Studio users.

To kick off the year, let's shine a spotlight on some of our incredible community members who distinguished themselves in the past month. ✨

• @jwedel was getting an error while trying to authenticate Copilot in a proxy network and got it fixed by building a custom proxy. However, for other community members, @juliusrennerbosch shared a descriptive fix for the issue. Great job on helping others 👏
• Quick fix for @paulzhn, accessing Copilot with their Student developer pack, as our GitHub Campus Expert @IgnacioPalma came to the rescue. Sparkles 💖 for clarifying that GitHub Copilot is free to use for verified students, teachers, and maintainers of popular open source projects. • We’ve been getting a lot of reports around Copilot Chat returning an error while trying to connect to @Terminal or @workspace. Kudos to @tnt1223 for nudging the users to the discussion where the issue has already been sorted by started a new session clicking on the plus icon above the Chat window.
