Discussion TypeProduct Feedback Discussion ContentHi everyone — I installed a heavy game and since then my laptop is very slow. Details: Device: Samsung / HP / Acer (change as needed) CPU: Intel i5 / i7 (change) RAM: 8 GB (change) OS: Windows 10 / 11 (change) I downloaded the game from: What quick checks should I run first (CPU/GPU driver update, Task Manager, malware scan)? Any recommended commands or logs to share? Thanks! |

Hey @thomlevi9-stack
First uninstall that game and check if speed improves. Run Task Manager to see if any unknown process is using CPU/RAM. Update GPU and CPU drivers. Do full Microsoft Defender offline scan, some games from unknown sites can install malware. If still slow, check startup apps and consider system restore.
