I couldn't apply to Educational Pack because my University is branch of Main University

I wanted to submit an application for the Equations pack. I study at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas in Tashkent. My university is a branch of the official parent university located in Moscow. I wanted to register with a domain @gubkin.uz but I see that registration is carried out only by domains gubkin.ru , 1215.gubkin.ru , asugubkin.ru "Why not?" gubkin.uz is also its official domain located in Uzbekistan. How can I get access? Please help me!

Before sending this email, I looked at all the requests related to this topic. I talked to GitHub Copilot. It did not help - it is recommended to add a document certifying my affiliation to the university at the time of application. But I don't see any column to do that. Please take a look! (screen1) - How can I prove my affiliation to the university and that this is all official???

Why @gubkin.uz email isn’t accepted

Currently, GitHub Education only recognizes specific (russian) email domains as valid.
Even though @gubkin.uz belongs to the official branch in Tashkent, it's not yet added to GitHub’s approved list. That’s why you’re seeing this yellow warning message.

What you can do

You still have two possible ways to apply:

Option 1: Apply with documentation

1. Continue the application anyway.
2. On the next step (if on laptop or desktop), you’ll be asked to upload a document proving your enrollment.
3. You can upload:
   • A student ID
   • A certificate of enrollment
   • A transcript or official letter from your university

The file must clearly show your name and the name of the university (so, better to upload as PDF and not a photo).

Option 2: Contact GitHub Education Support (better solution in your case)

If there is no upload option visible, or the form blocks your email completely, you can:

• 📩 Contact GitHub Education Support directly via this form: https://support.github.com/contact/education

When contacting them:

• Briefly explain that you're a student of the Tashkent branch of Gubkin University.
• Mention that your school-issued email is @gubkin.uz.
• Attach a PDF/photo proof of enrollment (student ID or certificate).
• Include the screenshot you shared (it’s very helpful).

To solve this, you have to contact support by opening a ticket here, select "My selected school has incorrect or incomplete information e.g. domains or campus location" and explain the issue with your academic email domain.
