Hi there. I've recently encountered a similar issue. First make sure your billing address is updated as you've said. (Maybe your school billing adress is diffrent than your current.) For the PDF side of things I recommend to just print your files than take a photo and upload that photo. For some reason its more authentic for the system. Hope this helps! |

Hi, thanks for bringing this up — I’m actually experiencing the exact same issue. I’ve also submitted my application multiple times from inside my campus, but it keeps getting rejected with the same “not in your campus” message. I’ve made sure my location is enabled, I’m not using a VPN, and I’ve used both Wi-Fi and mobile data just in case. Still no luck. I’ve tried uploading both a clear photo and a scanned version of my student ID (with all required info in English), but it still gets rejected. I even checked that my name and details match my official documents exactly. Honestly, it’s pretty discouraging — I’m just trying to verify my student status and can’t move forward because of this. If anyone has found a workaround that actually works, I’d really appreciate the help 🙏 |

Hi! I completely understand your frustration — this seems like an especially tricky case when you're physically on campus but still getting flagged incorrectly. A few things you could try (if you haven’t already): Check if your IP address reflects your campus location – sometimes college networks route traffic through a nearby city or a different region altogether. You can verify this by using a service like whatismyipaddress.com. If the location is off, that might be the reason for the rejection. Try submitting using a different browser or device – ideally one with mobile data instead of Wi-Fi. Sometimes location mismatches happen due to browser cache or network restrictions. Enable precise location in your browser settings. In Chrome, for example: Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Location. Make sure the platform you're applying through is allowed. Also, try clicking the location icon on the application page before submitting. Contact support directly (if not already done) with screenshots of: Your current IP location from a public service. A selfie with your college ID card and a visible college building (some platforms accept this for manual overrides). Tag the platform’s support handle on X (Twitter) or post on their official community/discussion board if they have one. It can speed up manual resolution. It really sounds like you’ve done everything right — hopefully, one of these steps helps or at least gets the attention of someone from the support team. You're not alone in this, and it shouldn't be this complicated. Wishing you a quick resolution! |

Hi @14-Hari-14, Given you have already tried all the known workarounds, it's possible that GitHub has the location of you campus wrong. I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, select " |

Hi everyone,
I know that a discussion regarding this topic exists however there havent been any feasible solutions in any online forums or on the net. Which is why I am resorting to make my own post so that the moderators or someone who can help me with this problem is able to provide a better solution
I'm currently writing this post from inside my college campus. I've submitted three separate applications, all of which were rejected with the reason stating that I’m “not in my campus,” even though I’m well within close range. I am not using a VPN and always allow the browser to access my current location.
For each rejection, I received the same prompt (as shown in the screenshot below):

All of my billing information is accurate, and my profile reflects my correct, government-verified name – exactly as it appears on all my academic and official documents.
This issue has been ongoing for over a month, and despite multiple attempts, I haven’t been able to resolve it. I also tried submitting the application for manual review, but that process now appears to be discontinued.
To make things worse, the platform won’t let me upload a PDF version of my documents, and it keeps rejecting the application even when I submit a clear photo of my college ID card (which includes all required details, in English, and is fully legible).
I’m completely stuck at this point and would really appreciate any help or guidance from someone who has faced this issue or knows how to fix it.
