Subject: Claude 4 Opus and GPT 4.5 models are not appearing in the GitHub Copilot agent list despite my Pro+ subscription

Hello GitHub Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with my GitHub Copilot Pro+ subscription, as Claude 4 Opus and GPT 4.5 models are not appearing in the list of available agents.

Account Details:

• Subscription Type: GitHub Copilot Pro+ (Active)
• Issue Date: June 4, 2025
• Time: 17:12 UTC

Issue Description:
Despite my active GitHub Copilot Pro+ subscription, I cannot see or select Claude 4 Opus and GPT 4.5 models in the agent selection list. The other models appear normally, but Claude 4 Opus and GPT 4.5 models are not listed.

Steps I've already tried:

1. Log out and log back in to my GitHub account
2. Clear your browser cache and cookies
3. Try different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
4. Check your subscription status - make sure Pro+ is activated
5. Ensure you're using the latest browser version

Expected Behavior:
As a Pro+ subscriber, I expect to access all premium versions, including Claude 4 Opus, from the agent selection menu.

Actual Behavior:
Clude 4 Opus and the gpt 4.5 model do not appear in the dropdown list of available agents.

Questions:

1. Is Claude 3 Opus currently available to all Pro+ subscribers?
2. Are there any regional restrictions that might affect availability?
3. Is this model still being rolled out gradually?
4. Are there any account settings I need to enable to access this model? Please investigate this issue and provide instructions on how to access Claude 4 Opus and GPT 4.5 using my Pro+ subscription.

I have a similar case as the one mentioned previously. I have noticed that the Claude Opus 4 model is available in the "Ask" section of GitHub Copilot, and I appreciate your efforts in making it accessible.

I would like to request your support to make this model available in the Agent section as well. Having access to the model in Agent mode would be more convenient for coding tasks.

You are right, although one of the conditions of the Pro+ plan is to work in proxy mode, the company should fix this issue.

It automatically disappeared after I selected Sonnet 3.5
Its like it downgraded my pro+ account or something.

I tried everything at this point - relogging, updating, reinstalling, but it still does not appear on the model list. I must admit it's quite disappointing given the price of the plan. Note this is not the case for web UI:

The Copilot app suddenly crashes while I'm writing code. Even if I reload it, it doesn't work. I deleted the app completely. I'm fed up with it, but I don't know how to get my money back.

Like all of you, I paid for Pro+ to access these models, and now am seeing that I can only "chat" without any "agent" capabilities. Very disappointing.

is this issue still open? I just purchased pro+ and the same, no Opus in the agent mode. Simple warning "only in ask mode" would be sufficient to not let other users run into the same pitfall.

Also subscribed for the sole purpose of accessing Opus 4. Super disappointed. They should make it clearer in the Billing section. This is a little fraudulent, :/

Given the lack of support for paid users of the pro+ subscription, Github should roll over any unused premium requests to the next month where hopefully Opus in agent mode is available. I think in general they should roll over unused request, but especially they should now seeing that we cannot utilize the service we paid for. This would be grounds for a lawsuit.

Does anyone have any update? I was really enjoying agent mode with sonnet, but paid this absurdly substantial amount of money expecting to be able to do the same with Opus. This is getting really frustrating, specially because of the lack of updates from the staff.

Opus is only available in Ask mode with copilot chat. Agent support has not been implemented yet.
