We have implemented a systematic control to prevent editing of the source (SEU) through an exit program. It works on the green screen, but it still allows editing through VS Code.

Is there any other way to restrict editing of selective sources from VS Code?

Please share some sample JSON Structure with the Program Names. Does it need to be individual Program names?

The readonly system wide setting is currently in testing and will hopefully be available in the upcoming release of Code for IBM i.
This will allow a system administrator to block any changes to a system.

However, this change does not replace the requirement for object authority - since this only affects Code for IBM i and not any other tool or interface. And the same is true with your current SEU block - it does not prohibit changing a source using other commands, e.g. EDTF.

Please consider implementing true security setup with no *ALLOBJ for any users and current object authority on the source fiiles and source directories (if you use the IFS).
