Thanks for the concern. I'm fine! I've had limited time to work on Python typing lately, so I've needed to prioritize where I focus my attention. Pyright is pretty mature at this point, so bugs and feature requests tend to be relatively esoteric, so I'm treating them as lower priority. Instead, I've been focusing my limited time on answering questions and contributing to discussions in the Python typing forum to assist with new PEPs and extensions to the type system. I'm also monitoring the development efforts on ty and pyrefly — which are very exciting developments for the Python typing community. Just as I benefited when writing pyright in learning from the work done by the original mypy authors, I want to pay it forward and help the teams who are working on these next-generation type checkers. I'd like to thank you as well. You've consistently filed high-quality bugs with clear repro steps. Pyright is a better type checker because of your many contributions! |

Hey, Eric! Just wanted to say thanks for everything you’ve done on pyright. I noticed you haven’t committed anything in a bit (still super active in issues though!). I'm worried about you. Hope all’s good on your end, just curious if something’s up or if you’re just taking a breather (no pressure at all). Either way, wishing you well. 🙂
