How to transfer playback to librespot

Hi,
Is there a way to transfer a playback from my other device to librespot ? I don't see anything on spirc or a player. I tried to use rspotify transfer_playback command (which calls me/player), using device_id from librespot session, but i get 404, as if this device_id is wrong.
Any ideas how to achieve that ?

From the lack of information I would guess we are talking about the librespot binary. Could you provide the full command with which you started the binary?

Which version do you use? And what do you mean by "but this is failing". Does that mean it does something at all or is there an error logged you could provide?

I'm using newest librespot from dev branch and this code :

Code is working ok, loading user favorite tracks and playing them in random order.

But when i was trying to transfer active playback from other device, not using load command, or using empty url in load, it wasn't working. Other device stops playing but librespot is not starting platback.

I will take a deeper look into it later. I think that might actually not be implemented or handled correctly yet. But will be able to give you a better answer later. If so I will probably convert the discussion into an issue so we can get that fixed :D

Finally got to take a look at the topic in detail. And I think it's worth to transfer this into an issue as there is currently no option from librespot side to transfer the playback to itself, only to become the active device is supported. For the transfer there also seems an internal endpoint available we can use, so I would see it worth implementing.

I also tried to transfer the playback with the api and that also seemed to work just fine. 404 would mean that you maybe haven't started the device in an authenticated state, so that it wasn't available yet? But that's just guesses.
