Crop HDMI feed instead of resize

I’ve been using a GoPro for sports streaming in a typical school gym for a while. Up until now, I’ve been using the Max Lens Mod to capture as much of the court as possible. However, as you know, using the Max Lens results in quite a bit of distortion due to the fisheye effect.

That’s why I was really excited when GoPro released an anamorphic lens—I thought it would be perfect for our needs. I purchased the HERO 13 along with the anamorphic lens and tested the HDMI out feature. Unfortunately, it only provides a 1080p feed with a very wide (21:9, I believe) aspect ratio, leaving black bars at the top and bottom.

It would be great if there were a setting to crop the center portion and output that through HDMI. Is it possible to implement that kind of feature? Thank you
