Nested renderer

I have been exploring malloydata.dev recently and I'm really liking its nested data visualization renderer, see https://docs.malloydata.dev/blog/2024-02-08-tables/

I wonder what this could look like in perspective, if it's even feasible in the current architecture or if there are existing alternatives that achieve the same purpose.
