Proxy using too much bandwidth

I purchased a residential proxy to avoid bans, but I'm noticing very high usage for WhatsApp addresses, and I'm quickly exhausting the proxy's contracted traffic. I've already disabled "WHATSAPP_DOWNLOAD_MEDIA=false", but I'm not sure if that makes any difference. I suspect the high traffic is due to downloading images and videos that people send in groups, for example.
Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?

1. Could you check logs when you send an image - does it ignore it properly?
2. What engine do you use, I guess WEBJS?
3. How many sessions do you host right now?
4. Do you use WAHA Plus or Core version?

how did you resolve it btw? We wanted to add cache back in WEBJS, probably right now it's too aggrasive and fetch all js/css/etc files every time :(

Yes, I am using WebJS - WAHA Plus. I have approximately 12 active connections. Regarding the cache, I have already tried enabling it, but I encountered an error. When I enable the cache, the sessions do not start. They keep trying to start and remain stuck. In fact, I found very little content about people using the cache. I’ve gone through almost the entire GitHub repository, and the people who tried to use the cache had the same issue, where you suggested they disable the cache #654 #691 . So, I could barely find any information about using the cache. In fact, it was one of the other issues I was planning to open for investigation, because there really isn’t much content about it.

Actually, I haven’t solved it yet. I switched the engine to GO, and the resource usage is ridiculously lower — much less. However, I’m still traumatized by the bans. And not using WebJS makes me feel a bit insecure.

Another thing I also noticed: as soon as I switched to the Go engine, some of the issues I reported in task #1140 were apparently resolved — specifically the problem where the sessions kept restarting constantly. At one point, I even thought it was the proxy, because I saw some issues where you discussed that certain proxies don’t maintain the WebSocket connection required by WhatsApp. So I’m not exactly sure what the problem is, but switching to Go apparently solved it. It has been running for about 4 hours now.
