FDC Nutrition Database - howto?

Hello,

i read in the docs "The FDC Api is used to automatically load nutrition information from the FDC Nutrition Database.".
Does this (automatically) work with ingrediants in german? If yes, how?

And where exactly (for dummies) i need to put the API key?

Here are the configuration docs https://docs.tandoor.dev/system/configuration/#fdc-api

You can pull from the database trough the property editor or in Tandoor 2 also in the Food editor. Sadly the database is only available in english so you have to search for the english food and import its values.

You can also import the Open Data set trough the space manager (or the settings in Tandoor 2).

Thx for the answer. But sadly i still don't get it (the dummy explanation is missing ;) )
I installed Tandoor on Proxmox via the helper scripts, updated to latest version.

• i was at the configuration site before. At the top it says to put the key in the env.template, correct? Where is this file?
• how can i "pull" something from the db in property or food editor? Right now i did it all manually.
  First created the properties and then entered the values in (one) food.

- in the recipe with this one food/ingredient there is still nothing with nutrions. Do all ingredients need to have the full information before it shows?

Ah i just noticed that 2.0 final came out. As soon as the helper script will be updated i take another look at it.
