Video cut list sync with sub

I just created subtitles for some old VHS recordings. Now I want to cut the videos to strip out boring parts or long pauses. Does anyone know what video cutter can export the cut list. Then is it possible to auto cut the subtitle file too?

Currently the way how I would do it manually would be:

1. Work backwards and find a segment I want to cut out. Use a video cutter to cut the segment. Note the cut end time & duration.
2. Repeat, working backwards and find the next segment I want to cut out, note the end cut time & duration. Then cut it out.
3. Once finished I would have a list of cut times corresponding to the original video file.

For example, let's say we have a 20 min video.
[1,2,3,4,c,c,7,8,9,c,11,12,13,c,c,c,17,c,c,20]
I denoted the segments I want to cut (granular of 1 minute).

Cut List (end cut times)
@20M, 2mins
@17m, 3mins
@11m, 1min
@7m, 2mins

4. Using Subtitle Edit and working through the cut list: Find the subtitle position which is AFTER* the "end cut" time. Select it. Menu Synchronization, Adjust all times, Selected and subsequent lines. Enter Duration. Show earlier.
5. Repeat through the cut list (descending order of time).
   *nb, the end cut time and subtitle time may not be the same

This is quite eloborate work. Would be cool if it was automated.

Davinci Resolve is what you need. It can import SRT files. Then use the In and Out (hotkeys I, O) to mark sections to cut. Hit SHIFT-BACKSPACE to ripple cut/trim. Repeat.
You can even export the subtitles back to SRT too.
