Oh interesting. The app uses pyinstaller which often triggers false positives. But I scanned this release with virus total and it was clear (McAfee needed me to submit a false positive report but I did that).

I’ll ask Microsoft to rescan/whitelist. Usually defender doesn’t have false positives.

Try updating the window defender scanner, which is separate from the Windows build. Something like this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/defenderupdates

Note: I haven't used Windows in 15 years, so I'm not a ton of help.

Microsoft's tool is giving me mixed messages 😀 . Looks like you might need 1.421.1731?

I submitted it as a false positive, hopefully they clear it soon.

I'll buy a code signing certificate soon which should solve this. They are just annoyingly expensive for open source projects.

very strange. If you don't need the reasoning model features use v0.9.0 for now. It's been around a bit longer and defender shouldn't flag it.

I will wait for next upgrade on the definitions, perhaps its really a MS internal topic, - otherwise I will just set defender rule to ignore it. Im playing around with trained deepseek models, so reasoning would be great of course.

@Progs4u mind trying the new v0.11.1 release and letting me know how it goes? I made 2 improvements which should help: 1) code signing, 2) I build the pyinstaller binaries myself. I'm hoping this resolves all the issues.
