Due by November 14, 2025•10/12 issues closedThis hasn't been prioritized yet, but this is something that we think really should happen. In order for it to really happen it needs to be moved into a tangible milestone. So putting it here means it's probably longer timescale than the existing milestones. As it isn't a more immediate priority, or we don't have the bandwidth to handle it, but we do think it's important to do at least long term. In many cases it's something we'd like to do NOW, but know it's not important enough to do immediately in order to get the true near term priorities done. In Scrum Agile Software Development Methodology (SDM) terminology this is something in the "Backlog".

The first part of this is to make ctsm5.4.0 with the updated datasets The second part will be to make the release tag with everything needed for the release itself
Due by November 3, 2025•44/63 issues closedTuning of CTSM needs to be accomplished by this date, and changes to answers have to be approved by the CESM Project, co-chairs, and SSC. We will allow non-standard things (for example FATES) to change after this date. But, everything that will affect coupled simulations MUST not-change answers without approval.
Due by November 15, 2025•38/69 issues closedThis is the tag on the ctsm6.0.0 release-cesm3.0 branch (from ctsm6.0.0) that will be used in the actual CESM3.0.0 release given to the public. Science MUST be ALL done at this point. Limited Bug fixes approved by the entire CESM project and CESM SSC is required for anything that changes answers.
