Progress Bar, Time to Complete and Cancel Button

So I was wondering, is there any way a progress bar, estimated time to finish and cancel button can be added to the app? I think it would be useful as depending on the hardware and the lib is being used, converting some files may take long but you don't know if it will be a few hours or a few minutes.

Have you experienced long conversion times with anything other than ffmpeg?

I've only tried ffmpeg conversions so far, so I don't have experience yet with other file types that aren't media. I would suppose it wouldn't take as long though.
