Gig View for effects

Would it be possible to integrate some kind of gig view.
Like 4-6 square buttons with effect icons, that get brighter, when the effect is turned on /off.
It‘s great, that all the effect switching is possible, but it would be much easier to use live, if there was no picture of the Amp, but just the effects in squares with a dark/bright background (maybe the same color scheme, like the effects), to see if the effect is on or off.
This is done on the Quad cortex or the luminaire m1 etc.

This is just an idea and everything that has been done, is amazing, but for live use, this would make this setup much better

Hi. This sounds reasonable, but there is a bit of an issue. The UI is designed using an app called Squareline Studio. The free version of this app is limited to 150 objects maximum, and this limit has already been reached, so no new objects can be added at the moment.

I do have plans to change to a different design program without this limit (EEZ Studio) but its not a small job. I got part way through and then had to move over to other more urgent tasks.
Hopefully I can get the UI moved over, and then could do this one (and add numbers/units to the sliders etc.)

I have a custom UI implementation for 4.3B where I added buttons corresponding to footswitches 7 and 8. Also there is an "alt mode" where all footswitches have a secondary function.

But as Builty said, it's hard to create UI with Squareline that would be customizable. In EEZ w trust 🤞

Great work there, but I think a live view without the amp picture, would be best.

Like this gig view. Just squares with a little symbol and the background changing to a more vibrant cover.
It was the only problem live, that I wasn’t sure, if I‘ve hit the footswitch right (compressor for example) and there was now way to see it with stage light etc.
It‘s just an idea and it‘s surreal what you did with the Tonex so far

Yes, this is a really clean and transparent UI. However it would require the interface to be highly customizable, with different number of rows/columns, because Tonex Controller supports 16 footswitch preset layouts + up to 8 effect footswitches. And each supported platform would need different constraints based on display resolution. Not possible with current UI workflow.

LVGL does have the flex layout, which can automatically position objects within rows/columns.
Still EEZ needed anyway.

By the way, I have some ideas about moving the images into a virtual file system in flash. If I can get that going, it will make working with images easier and save a lot of PSRAM.

But I trink it’s just important for the FX. If I assign tap tempo and preset 1-4 etc. A simple sticker on the switches would be enough.
the most important part is to see, if the fx is on or off. So one square for compressor, modulation, delay and reverb would be enough.
the type of the fx is already visible with the current ui. It’s just hard to see in a stage right now.
But as I said, everything that you did is already more then impressive, it’s just an observation I made, while using it live, which I did multiple times already

I'm planning on adding support for the Valeton GP5. Most likely using new screens. So I'm going back to the EEZ port and will focus on getting this done.
